E-Bike Commuting Tips
Thinking about buying an Ebike? Already have one and are looking for some tips to make that commute just a little bit easier? Look no further, I have been commuting on my Electric bike for a couple of years here in eastern Canada and I may have some tips that will make your life significantly better.

Let's start with a seat. If you don't have a nice cushion for those long commutes it will wear your will-power down. Depending on your riding style you might want a more plush or sporty saddle. I personally use this one

Next is outerwear, the cardinal sin of commuters is not dressing warm enough. It may seem warm outside until you hit 20mph and that wind-chill starts eating through those light clothes you wore. I personally run a reflective winter jacket year round for safety and warmth, a thin winter hat to help block the wind but does not interfere with my helmet and a variety of different gloves depending on the weather.
My next tip is to be weary of the cold. Lithium batteries do not like the cold. More specifically running when it is -5 C outside. This is my limit in order to preserve my battery because the only thing worse then having to bike in the freezing cold is being stranded with a dead battery in the freezing cold.
You may not have thought about it before but comfortable storage on your bike when commuting is important. Nobody wants to have a sweaty back because you had to wear your backpack all the way to work. I have a milk crate on my back rack, but if your concerned about that look here is an alternative:

For my final tip; it's kind of a couple of things, safety equipment for your bike. Locks, mirrors, sunglasses all the miscellaneous equipment that makes your life on the bike easier. I love my bike and the equipment I use everyday to get to work. I could link you to the stuff that I use but this one is so personal. It's what you would like to have or need to have.
